My name is Kelsey Voss and I’m an adventurous photographer, painter, and illustrator! Art is a huge passion of mine and I love the outdoors so I have combined both loves to nourish this little small business of mine. From painting extreme snowy mountains to drawing and designing national park posters, I have lots to offer.
Being based in BC, I have been immersed in nature ever since I was a baby. My mom took me on a canoe trip when I was just 2 weeks old and put a little baby life jacket over me. I grew up in Vancouver, Canada, both have strong ties in Canada and the US. My dad grew up in LA and I spent my childhood doing trips there and sometimes driving down from Vancouver. We would stop at many national parks along the way for fun!
My love for canoeing, hiking, camping, and road trips has fuelled my deep passion for recreating these areas but adding my own flowy twist to nature. I have been compared to Emily Carr and The Group Of Seven for my flowy semi-realism.
When I was 18, my dear mom passed away from pancreatic cancer, and a few years later I started this business as a way to honour her memory. I never thought I would ever paint again but it helped me cope and land on my feet again. Now I donate part of my sales to pancreatic cancer research for her and others.
In January of 2021, I started drawing a couple national parks for fun and it turned out to be the biggest adventure of my life. I now have over 20 parks across North America drawn and I sell my art in the Denali Park Store. This experience has been so thrilling and I am excited to keep adding more awareness and love for these parks through my art, and connecting with people across the whole continent.
